Amanda Downing, 31, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Monday evening, Oct. 19, 2020, in Carthage. Amanda Lea Downing was born on April 20, 1989, in Longview, TX, to Johnny Dale and Glenda Faye Stevenson Downing. She lived in Carthage most of her life and attended Carthage schools. Amanda was preceded in death by parents, Francille and Richard Burton Armstrong and brother, Bobby Hobbs.

Amanda is survived by her mother and father, Glenda and Johnny Downing of Gladewater; daughter, Natalie Downing of Gary; sister, Jonnie Downing of Gladewater; sister, Lisa Walker of Austin; husband, Charles Randy Parrish of Carthage; son, Charles Clayton Parrish of Carthage; cousins, Ashley, Brandy, Carrie, Cecil, James, Jamey, Diana, and Missy; aunt, Doris Gage; and beloved uncle and godfather, Max and Silvia Armstrong. Numerous other relatives and friends who were dear to her heart also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, 2020, at Antioch Cemetery with Dr. Dale Reed officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
