Graveside services for Mrs. Alice Nadine Myers Browning, age 88, of Panola County, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2009, at Restland Memorial Park with Pastor Clyde Tucker officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Browning passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009, in Carthage.

Alice Nadine Myers Browning was born on February 9, 1921, in Elk City, Kansas to Henry Thomas and Mary Anna Beard Myers. She married Charles Edward Browning on April 15, 1941 and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1995. Mrs. Browning was a member of the Buncombe Freewill Baptist Church. She moved to Panola County in 1982, from Wichita, Kansas. Mrs. Browning was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Oliver Myers; and a son-in-law, Harry Keith Smith.

Mrs. Browning is survived by one son, Frank Browning of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters, Mary Smith and Betty Gragg and husband Roger all of Carthage; one sister, Geraldine Williams of Caldwell, Kansas; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Patsy Ritter of Carthage.
