Graveside services for Mrs. Alice Verna Hudson, age 94 years, of Carthage, Texas formerly of Bryan, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2006 in the Bryan City Cemetery with Brother Don Ellis and Brother Mike Fields officiating. Interment will follow the services under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Hudson passed away on Saturday, May 06, 2006 in Carthage, Texas.
Alice Verna Allen Hudson was born on October 31, 1911 in Grimes County, Texas to John Reagan and Willie Emma Churchwell Allen. She married Joseph "Joe" Hudson. Mrs. Hudson had lived in Carthage since 1999 moving from Bryan, Texas. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Carthage.
Mrs. Hudson is preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 1977.
Mrs. Hudson is survived by her daughter, Frances Ellis and husband Jewell of Carthage, Texas.
