Alice Bell Hodge Wilkerson, 71, of Carthage, passed away on Saturday evening, April 15, 2017, in Longview. She was born on Feb. 11, 1946, in Carthage to the late James Aubrey and Fannie Margaret Pye Hodge. Mrs. Wilkerson attended Carthage schools and later earned her CNA certificate. She worked for over 30 years in area nursing homes and was last employed at Briarcliff. Mrs. Wilkerson loved the outdoors and especially loved to fish. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, J.R. Taylor and Burl Hobbs; brother, Henry Clay Hodge; and daughter, Connie Sue Cranmore.

Survivors include her sons, James Taylor and Jim R. Taylor and wife Connie Mae; daughter Mary Sanders and husband Stacy all of Carthage; daughter, April Cameron and husband Michael of Washington State; sister-in-law, Sherry Hodge of Georgia; niece, Jennifer Spell; nephew, Kevin Hodge; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Jimerson-Lispey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. E.J. Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Stacy Sanders, David Hodge, Wilson Plaisance, Martel Hodge, Josh Taylor, and Jesse Taylor.
