A graveside service for Alfred Emil "Fritz" Federwisch, 86, of Gary, TX, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at Langley Cemetery in Beckville with Bishop Orville Williamson and President Timothy Fulgham officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Federwisch passed away on Sunday night, Jan. 11, 2015, in Carthage.
Alfred Emil Federwisch was born on Jan. 24, 1928, in Marlin, TX, to the late Herman and Freda Zander Federwisch. Fritz served his country in the U.S. Army before being honorably discharged. He worked as a welder for H.B. Zachary for many years. Mr. Federwisch married Patricia Frances Burke on Jan. 2, 2002 in Henderson. He loved gardening and fishing. Mr. Federwisch was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel May Federwisch and his sister, Frances Venable.
Mr. Federwisch is survived by his wife, Pat of Gary; one daughter, Freda Mae Lindsey of Tatum; two grandchildren, Jeanie Wemken of Tatum and Forrest Edward Wemken of Dunn; two great-granddaughters, Summer Raie Bolton and Madison Wemken; and great-great-grandson, Calbert White.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Timothy Fulgham, John Morrow, Walter Parker, Bobby Antonick, Bill McAvoy, and William Mayhew.
