Obituary

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Alejandro Granado, Jr., 75, of Tatum, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Tatum with Father Carlos officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Tatum Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Friday with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Granado passed away on Wednesday morning, June 3, 2015, at his home in Tatum.

Alejandro Granado, Jr. was born on Feb. 19, 1940, in Madero del Rio, Acuna Coahuila, Mexico to the late Alejandro and Noemi Perez Granado. He worked in construction for many years until his retirement from Russell & Sons in Longview. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Sgt. First Class Alejandro Granado, III and S/Sgt. Jose E. Granado and brother, Fernando Granado.

Mr. Granado is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosalinda Granado; son, Rolando Granado; daughters, Dionicia, Cynthia, and Susana Granado; brother, Juan Granado; and sisters, Irma, Elvira, Orocia, Amada, Isabel, Socorro, Ermelinda, Esmeralda, and Aide; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of East Texas and Nurse Nancy Haygood for the loving care provided to their loved one.

Pallbearers are Alex Arredondo, Jr., Rolando Granado, Arturo Gomez, Cristina Granado, Johnny Cruz, Evidelia Cruz, Hasson Granado, Marisol Granado, Marcelino Granado, and Alejandro Granado, IV.
