Albert Joseph Ferris, Jr. , 77 of Beckville, passed away on Friday evening, Sept. 29, 2017, in Marshall. He was born on April 27, 1940, in Center, TX to the late Albert Joseph Ferris, Sr. and Margie Faye Campbell Ferris. Albert graduated from Mark Keppell High School in Los Angeles, CA. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He married Johnnie Graham Crawford on June 5, 1981, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 3, 2006. Albert worked as a bookkeeper for Texas Utilities until his retirement. He served for many years on the Beckville VFD.

Survivors include his son, James Ferris of Beckville; daughter, Christine Bridgeman and husband Bruce of Great Falls, MT; sisters, Barbara Reed of La Verne, CA and Sherrian Hess of Brawley, CA; and numerous grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Youngblood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be James Ferris, Jeff Ivy, Adam Jones, Richard Mojica, Stephen Endsley and Chris Welk.

Honorary pallbearers are the Panola County Sheriff's Office and Beckville V.F.D.
