Albert Lee Collins, 57, of Gary, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at his home in Gary. He was born on June 1, 1959, in Houston to John Wesley and Bettie Jo Pierce Collins. He moved to Gary from Cleveland, TX in 1980, and married Kathy Lynn Lenox on July 7, 1984, in Gary. Albert worked as a sheer operator for Scull Timber Co. for many years. He loved fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He was of the Baptist faith. His father and sisters, Bettie Collins and Mary Rash preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Bettie Collins of Longview; wife Kathy Collins of Gary; sons, Craig Collins and wife Ginny of Tenaha and Ryan Collins of Gary; daughter, Kimberly Collins of Longview; brother, Johnny Collins and wife Cindy of Cleveland; sisters, Sandra Castle and husband Jody of Longview and JoAnn Lockwood of Longview; and grandchildren, Aiden Farmer and Reese Collins.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Craig Collins, Ryan Collins, John Brown, Kasey Townsend, Jeremy Adams, and Lynn Roberts.
