Ada Jane Tucker Anderson, 43, of Carthage, passed away on Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, in Longview. She was born on Sept. 25, 1972, in Carthage to John Guy Tucker, Sr. and Luvenia Marie Morgan Gilstrap. She worked as a CNA in the healthcare industry, worked at Tyson, and at many different restaurants around Carthage. Ada lived her lifetime in Carthage. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher C. Carter, III and her grandmother, Lillie Bell Morgan Fields.
Survivors include her mother, Marie Gilstrap of Houston; her father, John Guy Tucker and wife Jean of Carthage; children, Velyncia K. Carter, Jon'Nesicia M. Pellum, Zy'Kerrian L. Tatum, and I'Keiunnia S. Anderson all of Carthage; brothers, John G. Tucker, Jr. of Houston, Johnny K. Tucker of Houston, Justin Gilstrap of Carthage, and Steven Marsh of Houston; and sisters, Terri T. Baker and husband Robert of Houston, Jerri K. Tucker of Carthage, Katherine McElroy of Houston, Iris C. Morgan of Houston, and Ashley B. Gilstrap of Houston. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Thorn officiating. Interment will follow in Crossroads Cemetery in DeBerry. The family will receive friends from 9-11 on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Radavien Matlock, Rodney Gates, Isaiah Dolphus, Jeremy Matlock, Nicholas Moore, and Quantarus Ingram.
Honorary pallbearers are John G. Tucker, Jr., Johnny K. Tucker, Justin B. Gilstrap, and Steven A. Marsh.
